Joel Dean Knight, 43, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 to be with the Lord. He attended First Baptist Church of Cleveland and West Gant Baptist in Greenville, SC. He attended Cleveland State Community College.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Knight; sister, Jacqueline Williams and grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Knight; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Cheree Knight; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard and Betty Lones all of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Tami and Jimmy Carter of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; sister, Karla Knight of Greenville, SC; mother, Frances Knight of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and several nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Monday, March 1, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Humbard officiating. Interment will follow in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
