Biography

Robert Lee Miolen, 59, a resident of Bradley County, passed away February 20, 2010 at the family residence. He was of the Christian faith. He was an automobile mechanic for Ledford's Auto for several years and later with the Bradley County Road Department. He was instrumental in the organization and founding of the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Linton and Mary Jane Miolen.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Miolen, of Cleveland; two children: Robert Lee Miolen, Jr. of Cleveland and Heaven Lee Miolen of Santa Clarita, CA; one brother, William Taylor Miolen on Winchester, TN; special friends: Millie Williamson of Defuniak Springs, FL, Dennis Davis, Steve Bancroft, Jack Bancroft and Joe Murphy all of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Bise and Pastor Walter Lofton officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department to include, Johnny Pippenger, Stony Matthews, Brian Bancroft, Jerry Carlton and Robert Miolen, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Dennis Davis, Johnny Blankenship, Anthony Stafford, Joe Murphy and C.L. Cartwright will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
