Biography
Rachel D. Fain, 93, of Birchwood, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Fain; parents, David Dilbeck and Ethel Morgan Dilbeck; two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by four children, James Fain and wife, Marilyn of Ooltewah, Delores Poe and husband, David of Myrtle Beach, SC, Linda Fain of Georgetown and Debi Moore and husband, David of Birchwood; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tony DeYoung officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
